Frequently Asked Questions
The things homeowners ask us most often.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. We provide free, no-obligation quotes for all tree work. Reach out through our quote form or give us a call and we’ll arrange a time to assess your trees and give you a clear, written estimate. Our quotes are valid for 3 months, so there’s no pressure to decide on the spot.
Are you a certified arborist, and are you insured?
Yes. Sparks Tree Care is led by a 444A Certified Arborist, the provincial trade certification issued by Skilled Trades Ontario, earned through a registered apprenticeship (roughly 6,120 hours) and a provincial exam. We are also fully insured and WSIB covered, which protects you, your property, and our crew on every job.
Do you handle storm-damage clean-up?
We do. If a tree or large limb has come down, or is hanging over your home, car, or driveway, get in touch and we’ll get you booked in as quickly as we safely can during business hours. If a tree is touching power lines, call your hydro provider first, downed lines have to be handled by the utility.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Chatham-Kent and the surrounding communities, including Chatham, Wallaceburg, Blenheim, Tilbury, Ridgetown, Dresden and nearby areas. Not sure if you’re in our area? Just ask.
Will you clean up afterward?
Always. Full cleanup is included with every job. We haul away debris and leave your property tidy. Wood chips or firewood can be left on site on request.
Do you grind the stump after removing a tree?
We can. Stump grinding is offered as an add-on to tree removal or as a stand-alone service. We grind below grade so you can replant grass, garden, or landscape the area.
How much does tree work cost?
Every tree is different, cost depends on size, species, location, access, and condition. That’s why we provide a free on-site assessment and a clear written quote before any work begins, with no surprises.
Is the best time of year to prune important?
For many species, late winter to early spring (while dormant) is ideal, but dead, damaged or hazardous limbs can be removed any time of year. We’ll advise on the best timing for your specific trees.
